Aromatic amine hardeners are aromatic materials such as DDM and EDM, which are made by addition and compounding with aliphatic amines, tertiary amines, compatibilizers and other materials. The curing agent does not contain volatile solvents and migratory plasticizers, and basically does not contain monoamines (anilines), so the cured products are free from hydrolysis or migration and volatilization of harmful and toxic substances.

Aromatic amine hardeners

The mixing ratio of Aromatic amine hardeners and epoxy resin is: epoxy resin (E-51): 1101B=100:50～80, its operable time (25℃) is 30 minutes; gel time (25℃) is 2.5 hours . If pre-cured and then heated and cured at 60℃～80℃ for 2～4h, the curing speed and effect will be better, and its temperature resistance can reach 120℃～140℃.

Aromatic amine hardeners have high temperature resistance (the highest among room temperature epoxy hardeners). It can make up for the shortcomings of epoxy coal tar tar coating, such as insufficient temperature resistance, poor hardness and wear resistance, and no solvent resistance. Therefore, the curing agent is the preferred curing agent for epoxy coal tar tar coatings. However, the quality must be pure, and there must be no softening and migrating substances such as aniline and dibutyl ester.
