Epoxy hardener or hardener resin epoxy is significant in the process of changing epoxy resin from liquid form to a solid cross-linked structure. When mixed with epoxy resin, epoxy hardener changes epoxy resin from liquid form to solid. A hardener has a molecule that has a reaction with epoxy groups which produces a network in three dimension shape. Different types of hardeners while curing may affect differently to the property of the epoxy. Under normal room temperature some hardeners may cure fast while some others may require heating up. The type of hardeners applied also determines the amount of hardness, chemical resistance and flexibility which will be imparted on the epoxy resin and in turn allow for varied applications from flooring to off used as electrical insulators.
