DMP-30, or 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol, is considered one of the most effective catalysts for epoxy resin systems. It facilitates rapid curing, especially with amine-based agents, and works well at low temperatures. DMP-30 improves the curing efficiency which leads to a shortened cycle in production and allows for quicker onsite repairs. DMP-30 does need to be controlled because too much of it will cause problems like uneven curing, poor epoxy finish strength, and weak mechanical properties. It is favored in most industries because it enhances curing speed while maintaining high-quality epoxy.
